all は全体をひとまとめ(数は後ろの名詞しだい: all the students は複数、all the money は単数)、every は「全員に当てはまる」と1人ずつ見渡す(単数扱い!)、each は1人ずつ個別に指差す(単数扱い・個の顔が見える)。最大の事故ポイントは every +単数名詞+単数動詞です(間隔を言う every three days のときだけ複数名詞が来ます)。
All sweeps the whole group together — its number follows the noun (all the students are, all the money is). Every scans the members one by one to say "this holds for all" (singular!). Each points at them individually, faces visible (singular). The biggest accident site: every + singular noun + singular verb. Intervals are the one place a plural follows, as in every three days.

All the students passed.(学生はみんな受かった)——全体をひとつかみ。Every student passed.(どの学生も受かった)——1人ずつ確認して「全員」。Each student received a certificate.(各学生が証書を受け取った)——1人ずつの場面が見える。every と each は「1人ずつ」目線なので、名詞も動詞も単数になります。ここが日本語の「みんな=複数」の感覚と衝突する急所です。

Because every and each look at one member at a time, both noun and verb go singular — exactly where the Japanese "minna = plural" instinct collides with English.
3つの目線Three ways of looking

「1人ずつ順に」の場面・配布・個別対応に。2つのものにも使える(each hand)。主語の後に浮く形(We each have ...)では動詞は主語に合わせる。For one-at-a-time scenes — handing out, treating individually. Works for two (each hand). Floated after the subject (We each have …), the verb follows the subject.

よくある間違い / Common Mistake
×Every students have a laptop.
どの学生もノートPCを持っている。(のつもりで)
○Every student has a laptop.

every は「1人ずつ」目線なので、後ろは単数名詞、動詞も単数です。意味が「全員」だから複数にしたくなる——この引力に勝つには、「every =どの1人を取っても」と訳し替えるのが効きます。
Every looks at one member at a time, so the noun and verb stay singular. The meaning "all of them" pulls hard toward the plural — beat the pull by re-translating every as "take any one of them."
every day / all day毎日/一日中「めくる every・塗る all」の代表対。混同すると意味が変わる。The flagship pair — flip vs. paint. Swap them and the meaning changes.
each otherお互い「1人ずつが相手を」という each の個別目線が生んだ相互表現。Each's one-at-a-time gaze, aimed both ways — mutuality.
every single ...ひとつ残らずevery の「1つずつ」を single でダメ押しした強調形。Every's one-by-one scan, underlined by single.
