I'd like ... は I want ... の丁寧版。意味は同じで、違うのは距離だけです。注文・受付・初対面は would like、家族・友人・切実な本音は want。「スーツを着た want」と覚えてください。
I'd like … is I want … with better manners. Same meaning — only the distance changes. Orders, counters, and first meetings call for would like; family, friends, and raw honesty call for want. Think of it as want in a suit.

want は欲求の生の形です。強くて率直で、だからこそ場面を選びます。would の距離(過去形=一歩引く)を掛けた I'd like は、同じ欲求を「もしよろしければ」の包装紙にくるんだ形。サービスの場面で I want と言うと、通じはしますが、子どもの「これほしい!」に近い直球さが出ます。
Want is desire in its raw form: strong, direct, and picky about where it belongs. Wrap it in would's distance (past form = one step back) and you get I'd like: the same desire in gift wrap. Say I want at a service counter and you'll be understood — but it lands with the bluntness of a child's "I want this one!"

文法は正しく、意味も通じます。ただサービスの場面では唐突で子どもっぽく響く。want に would の包装紙を掛けるだけで、大人の注文になります。please を添えれば仕上がりです。
Grammatical, and everyone will understand — but at a service counter it sounds abrupt, even childlike. Wrap the want in would, add a please, and the order grows up.
I'd like to ...〜したいのですがwant to の包装版。用件の切り出しの定番。Want to, gift-wrapped — the standard way to open a request.
Would you like me to ...?〜しましょうか?「私がやること」を相手の希望として差し出す申し出の型。Offering your own help as their wish — the polite volunteer.
if you'd likeよろしければ相手の希望に委ねる添え言葉。押しつけを消す。Hands the choice back — erases any push.
I'd love to.ぜひ!like を love に強めた、誘いへの快諾の定番。Like upgraded to love — the warm yes to an invitation.
