英語には助詞がありません。誰が誰にしたのかを示すのは、語順そのものです。The dog bit the man. と The man bit the dog. は同じ語を使っていて、意味は正反対。だから基本の並びは動かせません。動かせるものと動かせないものを分けて覚えるのが近道です。
English has no case particles. What tells you who did what to whom is the order of the words. "The dog bit the man" and "The man bit the dog" use the same words and mean opposite things. That's why the core sequence can't be rearranged. The efficient move is to learn which pieces can shift and which can't.
動詞と目的語の間は空けない
Nothing Comes Between Verb and Object
Subject, verb, object is the frame. The verb and its object are especially tight, and an adverb of manner or degree can't wedge in between them. The urge to slip one in there is common, but it has to go after the object or in front of the verb instead. Focus adverbs are the exception: only, just, and even attach to whatever they cover, so they do sit in that gap, as in "I saw only him." Adverbs and prepositional phrases, by contrast, move around fairly freely. That's the layer where you have room.

副詞は動詞の前なら入れる。目的語との間は不可。An adverb fits before the verb, but never between verb and object.

動かせない(主語・動詞・目的語)
位置が役割そのもの。入れ替えると別の意味になるか、文が壊れる。Position is the role. Rearranging changes the meaning or breaks the sentence.
The manager praised the intern.
部長がインターンを褒めた。
動かせる(副詞・前置詞句)
複数の位置を取れる。ただし動詞と目的語の間だけは避ける。Several slots are open, with the gap between verb and object the one to avoid.
Yesterday the manager praised the intern in front of everyone.
きのう部長は、みんなの前でインターンを褒めた。
よくある間違い / Common Mistake
×I like very much this movie.
この映画がとても好きだ。(のつもりで)
○I like this movie very much.
この映画がとても好きだ。
動詞と目的語の間に副詞句を割り込ませた形です。英語では like と this movie の結びつきが強く、あいだを空けません。very much は目的語の後ろへ回すか、I very much like this movie. のように動詞の前へ置きます。後者はやや硬い響きです。助詞のある言語では修飾語をどこに置いても役割が分かるため、この制限は見落としやすいところです。
This wedges an adverb phrase between the verb and its object. In English, like and this movie hold together tightly and don't allow a gap. Send very much after the object, or move it in front of the verb as "I very much like this movie," which reads a little more formal. In languages that mark roles with particles, a modifier can sit almost anywhere, so this restriction is easy to miss.
good enough十分によいenough は形容詞の後ろに置く例外。名詞の前では enough money と前に来る。Enough follows an adjective, unlike other modifiers, but precedes a noun: enough money.
give me a call電話して「人→物」の語順。to を使うなら give a call to me だが、こちらは不自然。Person then thing. The to version sounds off here, so the double-object form wins.
make it clear that ...〜だとはっきりさせるit を仮の目的語にして、重い that節を後ろへ送る型。A placeholder it holds the object slot so the heavy that-clause can go last.
have something done〜してもらう/〜される語順だけで意味が決まる型。have done something とは別の意味になる。The order alone carries the meaning. Have done something says something else entirely.
まとめ / Summary
英語は語順が役割を決める。主語・動詞・目的語は動かせない。Position assigns the roles. Subject, verb, and object stay put.
様態・程度の副詞を動詞と目的語の間に割り込ませない(焦点副詞は例外)。Don't wedge a manner or degree adverb between verb and object. Focus adverbs are the exception.
動かせるのは副詞と前置詞句の層。Adverbs and prepositional phrases are the movable layer.
語順を崩すと、崩したこと自体が強調の合図になる。Break the order and the break itself becomes a signal.
